Van Wyck Expressway Viaduct & to JFK Improvements
J. Anthony Equipment Co. provided critical construction services for the vital Van Wyck Expressway Viaduct and associated improvements leading to JFK Airport. This project was focused on enhancing a major corridor for both commercial and passenger traffic, demanding high-volume performance and precision.
The scope of our work included the installation of 130,000 Nelson shear connectors (studs) across a massive 200,000 square feet of bridge deck on existing structural steel. Successfully completing this extensive project required expert coordination and the reliability of our specialized stud welding equipment. This large-scale effort reinforces our proven capability to execute major infrastructure rehabilitation projects that keep the region's most crucial transit arteries running smoothly.
